Like many professionals, Catering and Events Consultant Lauren Winkler did not take a direct path to the catering sales industry. After graduating from beauty school, Lauren attended Harper and Roosevelt Universities pursuing a business degree. After some time, Lauren realized it was not the right major for her. Luckily her roommate was studying hospitality and suggested Lauren do the same. Lauren changed her major that same day and after graduation began working with Meetinghouse as a project manager for the next 3.5 years. Lauren then took some time off to pursue other passions, before returning to SBR Events Group, this time on the catering side as a member of the sales team.

What Lauren loves most about her job is putting on events for clients and seeing their faces when they realize that their vision has come to life. She loves when clients tell her how much they love the food, how it’s the best food they’ve had, and she simply loves making people happy.

When Lauren isn’t making clients' dreams come to life, she likes to spend time with her 2 dogs and family. She has family dinner every Sunday night at her parents’ house and she loves to go to restaurants, bars, and the movies with her boyfriend.

If Lauren were a color, she would be orange because it reminds her of everything summer-warmth, sun, the beach, Florida, and just the tropics in general.
